The weekend of 3-4 September 2011 saw the staging of the North island Judo Championships at the Walter Nash Stadium in Naenae, Wellington.
A small group from the Howick and St Heliers Judo Club went down to compete in a variety of Divisions and Categories.

Charlie Mair was the only club member to fight on Saturday. He faced tough competition in both the Cadet Men and Junior Men competitions.
The Sunday saw the remaining club members fighting. First up, it was the Junior Boys and Junior Girls followed by the Senior Boys. The fighting was hard and every club member who fought did so to the best of their ability on the day.
